Archie is the same famous dress as that of his cousins, Prince George, Prince Charlotte and Prince Louis. The dress is a replica of another dress worn by 62 members of the Royal Family for over 163 years, from Princess Victoria in 1841 to Lady Louise Windsor in 2004.
Princess Diana dressed Prince William and Prince Harry with the original for their respective baptisms. After the baptism of Lady Louise Windsor, however, the queen ordered that the original dress be removed and a replica was made. That's what the new generation of royals has been wearing since then.
