Professor Kofi Agyekum aka Opanyin Agyekum
Professor Kofi Agyekum, better known as Opanyin Agyekum, condemned the abandonment of the Bekwai District Hospital which, once completed, will benefit the district and central region in his outfit.
The Bekwai District Hospital, opened in September 2010, was left at the mercy of rats, weeds and spider webs. This was part of a two district hospital project under ADB HSRP III; Tarkwa District Hospital, the other facility was completed and used.
Opanyin Agyekum, reacting to Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo", lamented that everything in the country is politicized.
"Because of politics, the projects of previous governments are abandoned … sometimes I wonder if it is a curse, otherwise, why would we abandon a project that could be of benefit to us," he said. he questioned.
