Christian Eriksen says to abandon Real Madrid's dream and join Liverpool instead

The future of Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen remains uncertain as we approach the end of the transfer slot business.

The Danish international announced earlier this summer his desire to leave the Spurs to join Real Madrid.

However, no move to Bernabeu has been announced for the 27-year-old Zinedine Zidane preferring Paul Pogba.

Dean Saunders has now told Eriksen to forget about his move to the Spanish capital, saying that joining Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool would be a better solution for the Dane.

Saunders thinks that Eriksen would be "integrated into the Liverpool team" with the missing piece of their puzzle, considered one that would make them "more productive".

Philippe Coutinho was badociated with a return to Anfield while Spurs boss, Mauricio Pochettino, admitted that Eriksen had sparked a lot of interest as he was entering the final year of his contract with the club.

And Saunders think Liverpool should bring his creative quest closer by referring to the transfer budget and club goals.

He said talkSPORT : "[They could] Spend maybe … I think Eriksen could be part of the Liverpool team; someone like Eriksen.

"This type of player will make their midfielder a little more productive."

The Spurs and Liverpool faced each other in the Champions League final, after which Eriksen hinted that it might be time for him to look for a new challenge.

He told the Danish newspaper, Ekstra Bladet "I feel like I'm a place in my career where I might want to try something new.

"I have the most savage and deepest respect for everything that has happened in Tottenham – I will not be negative.But I have also said that I would like to try some something new.

"I hope that there will be a resolution during the summer.It is the plan.In football, you do not know when a resolution will be pbaded.This can happen at any time. Everyone wants the best to be done as soon as possible, but in football things take time. "
