Peace Council members meet IGP

Members of the National Peace Council today held a meeting with Inspector General of Police David Asante-Apeatu at the Police Headquarters to discuss relevant issues of law enforcement and peace in the country.

Issues discussed include ongoing efforts to dispel vigilance in the country, areas of collaboration between the police and the Peace Council and the challenges police officers face in carrying out their duties in various fields. regions of the country.

Other issues discussed include ways to strengthen the relationship between police commanders and political authorities and to promote police professionalism to ensure peace and security in the country.


During the meeting, it was agreed that both institutions; the National Peace Council and the police service regularly hold interactive meetings and joint public education programs to increase public understanding of police functions to ensure peace in the country.
