Tesla has updated its map of upcoming supercharger stations around the world – indicating the next direction taken by the manufacturer.
In recent years, Tesla has made several big promises regarding the expansion of the Supercharger network, but these have failed.
The delay seemed to be at least partly related to the deployment of the new generation of Supercharger technology, Supercharger V3, which itself has experienced several delays since last summer.
Tesla has officially begun deploying this new technology with the first full-service station in Las Vegas this week.
Today, the manufacturer has updated its map of the upcoming Supercharger stations for the first time since the deployment of Supercharger V3:
Tesla seems to have added several upcoming stations around the world, including Iceland and Central and Eastern Europe.

On the Tesla map, the user can zoom in and see the upcoming stations (in gray) and a Tesla plans to launch them.
The Supercharger network currently has 1,533 stations and 13,344 Superchargers.
Tesla talked about more than doubling the network over the next year.
CEO Elon Musk said Tesla's biggest driver of demand in specific markets is the deployment of new superchargers and service centers.

It's nice to see an updated map, even though I took a little time with delays, Tesla having already fallen behind several times.
However, it is not always the fault of Tesla. Many variables come into play when opening a new charging station, such as contractors, homeowners, electric utilities, etc.
But it seems that Tesla has slowed down its deployment in anticipation of Supercharger V3.
Now, Tesla seems to have several production lines for the Supercharger V3 at Giafactory 2 in Buffalo. This could mean that they can increase production and speed up acceleration.
