A Nigerian youth identified as Okohwan Kelvin has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The commission issued a statement on Facebook about the arrest.

The young man was reportedly arrested for hacking more than one hundred Facebook accounts.

The commission also revealed that Kelvin had sold the accounts he had hacked to other Internet scammers for use in operations.

The EFCC also explained that the arrest had been carried out after discreet monitoring of Kelvin's online activities.

The commission said it began monitoring its online activities after members of the public reported piracy of their accounts.

According to the commission, the culprit allegedly used a hacking method generated from a website for hackers.

He was collected so that he sent the link to the victims so that they could access their accounts when they opened. The commission further revealed that the culprit would soon be indicted.
