Supporters of Mubarick Masawudu, a Democratic National Democratic (NDC) primary candidate in the Asawase constituency, staged a protest at the NDC's regional office in Kumasi on Friday.

Mubarick Masawudu said that statements by some party leaders indicate that they want efforts to prevent him from challenging the outgoing MP, Muntaka Mubarak.
He made the remark after finding the party's regional office locked up on arrival Thursday afternoon to file his nomination form.
