Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has noticed something new in the team meetings

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the Manchester United players had been "more proactive" at the pre-season team meetings.

United won his two friendly matches in Australia against Perth Glory and Leeds United earlier this month and will face Inter Milan in Singapore tonight before the end of his Australian and Asian tour against Tottenham in Shanghai on Thursday.

Solskjaer has overseen a more intense training camp ahead of the new season as United tries to improve his 2018-19 trophy-free trophy. Midfielder Nemanja Matic made a surprising statement in the wake of the 4-0 defeat at Everton United. The club lacked leaders. Solskjaer said last week that he needed a player similar to former captain and former captain Bryan Robson.

But the optimistic Solskjaer noticed that players earned more during sessions sitting after workouts.

"Until now, we have had many positive and encouraging moments," said Solskjaer about the pre-season. "The games are part of it, they are stages, tomorrow night it will be another opposition – a little harder – and we have all gone through more or less until now.

"Luke [Shaw]Missed a few days, Anthony [Martial] a day and Romelu [Lukaku] it's the one who missed them all. But it is good, very encouraging, to work on several things, but we have started well.

"I'm looking to put all the players back to the form we had when I first came out, when we played a 12, 14-game series without losing, so it's not just Paul Pogba. who comes back to this form, each of us, Nemanja [Matic], Anthony, Marcus [Rashford] all of us.

"And we as a team together and if the center of interest is right, everyone has been at the top of the season and when they are on the ground, we can not blame anyone.

"When we have meetings, they are more proactive, so I am very encouraged."

Matic, sitting alongside Solskjaer at the preparatory press conference at the national stadium Friday, said about last season: "It was not a good season for all of us, our goal in the end was to to play in the Champions League, but we did not do it. " So, we know that this season, we must do better, we must do more.

"Because when you play for Man United, you have to fight for trophies and we know it very well, so we hope that this season will be better, each of us, and I'm sure we'll be ready to take on any challenge.

"Last season, I had some problems with injuries but I was not happy with my form, we finished sixth and I was not happy this season, I start with Team, and we will see, for the moment, I feel good and I will continue to coach it hard to help the team. "
