Tottenham Hotspur's flop, Vincent Janssen, is expected to undergo a medical check-up with the Mexican Monterrey squad before a final transfer, according to football.london.
The Dutchman has failed to sneak into North London since coming to the AZ Alkmaar Premier League in the summer of 2016.
Jansson, absent from the Spurs who reached the final of the Champions League, played only 36 minutes of play in the Premier League last season.
Mauricio Pochettino openly admitted that the striker had no future at the club, but Tottenham was eager to leave him permanently this summer.
And it is now claimed that Janssen's misery with Tottenham could finally end next week.
It is thought that Monterrey booked an appointment at Janssen for medical reasons Monday, while they intend to have him sign a definitive contract next week.
Janssen was left out of Spurs' pre-season tour and is expected to take his medical exam in Europe before the proposed transfer to La Liga MX with Monterrey.
The 25-year-old has only one year in contract with the Spurs.
Monterrey begins its 2019/20 Liga MX Apertura campaign against Club America today.
