Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden is confident that he knows what fans of the Magpies want to see from their team in the next campaign.
The Magpies, who were without a manager after Rafael Benitez's exit at the end of his contract with the club earlier this month, blinked by pointing to former Hull City director Steve Bruce as new manager.
Many Magpies fans have not been impressed by Bruce after a winning Champions League coach and he seems to have everything to do to win the faithful.
Newcastle finished third in the Premier League Asian Trophy after beating West Ham 1-0 on Saturday as Bruce was under the table.
Although fans have questioned the ambition of the club in recent years, Hayden is certain to know what fans want, and his teammates too.
"People are talking about the top six. I know what fans wantHayden was quoted by the Chronicle.
"They just want a team that progresses, wants to improve and wants to go forward. We get that.
"As players, the only thing we can do is do our best to improve ourselves and the incoming manager will do his best to improve us.. "
Newcastle now has three friendlies in the UK, with matches against Preston North End, Hibernian and Saint-Etienne before opening the Premier League season at home against Arsenal.
