Joao Felix had his Atletico Madrid short debut By injury, Diego Simeone's players have already qualified for Numancia in pre-season.
The front, a €126 million signatures of Benfica, was named in Simeone's starting formation for Saturday's trip to Estadio Municipal de Burgo de Osma.
But a hip injury meant Joao Felix was coming in the first half with Angel Correa – linked to a move to AC Milan – replacing him.
Simeone also presented his debut to new defenders Kieran Trippier, Mario Hermoso and Renan Lodi while a fifth fresh faceMarcos Llorente, started in midfield.
Correa hit the post shortly before the half-time whistle, ending a 45-minute game early in the game for the opposing goal.
