Pep Guardiola is waiting for Manchester City to learn from his failure to dismantle a stubborn wolf in his pre-season clash in China.
The three winners were beaten on penalties in the Premier League Asia Trophy final after scoring a goal-free 90 minutes in Shanghai on Saturday.
The boss of the city does not worry about the result but thinks that the game highlights the areas in which it is necessary to work.
When asked if defeat meant anything, Guardiola said, "I do not think so. If we lose in the future, it will not be because we lost on penalties in this competition.
"We played incredibly well in the first period. The wolves defended themselves so well and deeply and it's not easy to create opportunities, but we created and we conceded no counterattack in that first half and in the first 15 minutes of the second. .
"Everyone, not just young players, has done a good job. We will learn from that. We realize how difficult everything is and we are satisfied, especially the way we played. "
It was not the finish we wanted in China, but it was great to be here! ?

City begins its 2019-2020 campaign against the Champions League winner Liverpool in the Community Shield at Wembley on August 4th.
They have two more friendlies to prepare, while their pre-season tour of Asia will continue next week with matches against Kitchee FC in Hong Kong on Wednesday and Yokohama F Marinos on Saturday.
City's trip has been difficult until now after two days' delay of their initial flight to China.
Defender Aymeric Laporte thinks the tour will be a good exercise despite Saturday's loss.
He said, "We came here to prepare the season. We have to keep working to be ready, that's the most important thing.
"We did a good job but the result was not good. Obviously, it would have been better to win but we continue to work.
"I hope we will come back better than when we left. That's why we are here.
