Chelsea releases an update on N & # 39; Golo Kante's injury

N'Golo Kante could be in danger of missing the start of the 2019-20 season after being forced to leave Chelsea's pre-season tour in Japan early due to a knee injury.

The 28-year-old has had virtually no injuries since coming to England in 2015, missing only ten Premier League games on a possible 152 for Leicester City and Chelsea.

However, the volume of games that Kante has played seems to have recently wreaked havoc, since the French have since 2006 injured the hamstrings and knees.

Kante has definitely not played for Frank Lampard in the pre-season and could face a race against the clock to be ready for the new season as he continues his re-education for his knee problem.

"N'Golo Kante has returned to the UK to continue his rehabilitation for a knee problem injury he had at the end of last season."

The winner of the World Cup was absent because Chelsea was down 1-0 against Kawasaki Frontale on Saturday, despite his training on the previous day with his teammates.

Kante has been a major success since coming to Chelsea since Leicester in 2016, helping the club win the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League during his three seasons in West London.
