Accra, July 21, GNA – The Mid-Year Budget
report to be presented by Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta, Minister of Finance, the
July 29, among other things, will seek to increase government revenues to finance
outstanding co-ordinated programs of social and economic policies.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Information, who announced that it was a media
briefing in Accra on Sunday, said that the 1992 Constitution requires every
administration to prepare a coordinated program of social and economic development.

He said that the administration believes
it regularly respected its commitments to Ghanaians, the mid-year budget

He said that it was the government's expectation
