The suburb of Johannesburg, Sophiatown, has a rich history.
A tense gangster movie set in the suburbs in 1958 was shown in Durban on Friday.
"Back of the Moon", directed by Angus Gibson, takes its name from a famous Sophiatown from the late 1950s.
Sophiatown was renamed Triomf by the apartheid government but took over its name in 2006.
