Prince George is seen smiling in a football jersey in England for the official photographs released on the occasion of his sixth birthday.

Kensington Palace has published three recent photos taken by his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.

The third on the throne will be six on Monday.

Two of the images show the prince dressed in an English white shirt and smiling in the garden of his home at Kensington Palace.

A third shows him on family vacations, wearing a green polo shirt and a blue and white striped shorts.

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born in London in the Lindo Wing private wing of St Mary's Hospital.

He appeared in front of the world media a day later, when Prince William and Catherine stood against him on the hospital steps.

This year, he appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and in his mother's garden, the Chelsea Flower Show.
