AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – The Dutch health care group Philips (PHG.AS) announced Monday an increase in its comparable sales of 6% above expectations for the second quarter, to 4.67 billion euros (4.19 billion pounds).
Analysts surveyed by the company saw adjusted revenue growth of 4.5%, up from 4% in the same period last year. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITA) increased by 14% to 549 million euros, which is in line with expectations.
