Eugen Neagoe, coach of Dinamo Bucharest, is in a stable state after collapsing on the bench during the 2-0 defeat to Universitatea Craiova.
Romanian media reported that the 51-year-old became sick in the 25th minute of the Liga 1 match at the National Arena.
He was given a bottle of water and could be seen breathing heavily shortly before fainting.
The game was interrupted for 15 minutes when he was treated before being taken to the Floreasca Hospital of Bucharest.
Neagoe, who joined La Liga 1 in June, is stable and will remain under surveillance at the hospital, local media reports said.
In 2016, Patrick Ekeng, Dinamo Bucharest midfielder, died of a heart attack after collapsing on the pitch.
