People marched in the street to protest against Alfred Mky, Alfred Okyere
Some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of the Ashaiman Municipality demonstrated today, Monday, July 22, 2019, to request the dismissal of the Municipality's Director General, Alfred Okyere, for making the party a little attractive.
According to the protesters spokesman, Idrissu Nuhu, MCE has, in recent years, taken sole management of the region and left out other key officers of the municipality.
The situation, he said, has left the black party in the constituency and risks compromising its electoral chances in the 2020 polls.
Protesters waved placards with inscriptions such as "Hon. Albert Okyere, stop selling public land, "Hon. Albert Okyere, your office is not a sanctuary, so stop sending eggs and Schnapps, "" We will not stay under high voltage or waterlogged areas, "The Honorable Albert Okyere wants to make President Akufo-Addo a president with a mandate ", among others.
They therefore ask President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to remove Mr. Okyere to preserve the image of the party in his constituency.
