Accra, July 22, GNA – Hajia Rukaya Abubakar
aka Hajia Ruky, a parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress
(NDC) of the Madina constituency said it believed in its delegates for
elect her to represent Madina.
Nomination for the constituency
Hajia Ruky said, "I believe in my delegates and I believe they can
choose me when the time comes. "
She said that her appointment was inspired by
people's love for her, adding, "They've been with me since I was
challenged in 2012 and they are always with me and call me to save the
seat".
Hajia Ruky said that people know that apart from
from me, no other person would be accepted to conquer the NPP
candidate and she inspired to take the seat for the NDC.
Although a handful followed until the deposit,
she said "the competition starts and we will see a lot of people
behind me and next to that there is a conference of delegates that would take place on
August 24th.
"People are very important and they

will not come either, "she said, adding that she had to leave everything that she was

She said, "I want to see my people at a
level where they can support themselves and even support me so that Madina can
get to a level where it's supposed to be. "
Hajia Ruky said, "In 2012, we were only two
but today we are four people, which means it's a good thing for Madina
because democracy works.
"I
know that there are other candidates and that they are qualified and can do
something but as a woman and mother, sister and aunt, I know that I will be
able to provide more support to my people than others can do, "she said.
She said a voter since 1996 and being
a basic person, "know the people and what they want and know what to do
I think I can offer what I can do and that's why I can do it. "
Hajia Ruky is in the running with three more
men, including Mr. Sidii Abubakar Musah, Mr. Francis Xavier Sosu and Ibrahim
Fucking Fuseini will compete for the seat of Parliament for the NDC.
