Macy's banned his mother's jeans plates after the Twitter user complained

The retail giant, Macy's, is pulling out a series of plates from all its stores after CBS correspondent Alie Ward complained of the crockery on Twitter.

The plates carry a series of rings labeled "skinny jeans", "favorite jeans" and "jeans for mom" as a satirical representation of the portions. Ward took a picture of the plates and tweeted at Macy's to ask the department chain to ban the product.

"How can I get those @Macys banned plates in the 50 US states," Ward tweeted Sunday.

"Hello, Alie – we thank you for sharing this with us and agree that we have missed the mark on this product and it will be removed from all STORY products on Macy's premises," said Macy's official account.

Ward thanked the company and warned several other companies to potentially recover the product if Macy's started unloading it.

"I appreciate that, thanks for listening and taking into account the comments." Sidenote: if the excess stock ends up disappearing in TJ Maxxs and Marshalls and Ross stores in the United States, I will lose it again, "said Ward.

I appreciate that; thanks for hearing and taking the comments. Sidenote: If surplus stocks end up in TJ Maxxs and Marshalls and Ross stores in the US, I'll lose it again.
