IGP, David Asante Apeatu
The Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu, has been replaced by his deputy, James Oppong-Boanuh, while he leaves on leave while waiting for his retirement from the Ghanaian police.
Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications, wrote to the Chair that Mr. Asante-Apeatu is taking leave immediately prior to his retirement on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.
Mr. Asante-Apeatu was recognized for his many years of service in the country and wished him good luck in his retirement.
Until a substantive IGP is appointed, the President has asked Deputy Inspector General James Oppong-Boanuh to act as PGI. acting.
