Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo seem to love married life. They were married in November 2016 and since then have welcomed a daughter, Felicity. Their daughter has just celebrated her first birthday and fans can not help wondering if another baby could arrive soon. But Duggar and Vuolo did things differently from the rest of his family.
Duggar and Vuolo have been married for nearly three years
Vuolo did not meet Duggar in the same way that most Duggar girls meet their husbands. He was not introduced by Duggar's father, Jim Bob, and the two did not meet at the church. Instead, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald met Vuolo while they were traveling to Texas, and he went to Arkansas to visit them. It was there that he got wind of Duggar, although the two did not start courting for a moment. Finally, Vuolo participated in a missionary trip with the family and asked Jim Bob for permission to court his daughter. The two only courted each other for about a month before becoming engaged. They will celebrate three years of marriage in November.
The Duggars do not traditionally believe in birth control
Growing up, birth control was not an option for the Duggars. Michelle and Jim Bob were already using contraception at the time of their marriage. But they became pregnant and lost their baby due to miscarriage. They took for a sign from God that birth control was a mistake, and they swore never to use it again. The Duggars have taught their children that children are a gift from God and that none of them should ever use birth control. They do not believe in abortion either. However, Duggar and Vuolo had only one pregnancy in almost three years. It is therefore possible that they prevent pregnancy in any way, although this has not been confirmed.
Duggar and Vuolo told "Counting On" that there would be no babies in the near future.
On the last season of Counting on, the producers asked the Duggar family if there would be babies in 2019. While many Duggars said yes (and most of them are now expecting babies this year), Duggar and Vuolo seemed suggest that they would not have children so soon. Although they did not totally rule out this possibility, they said the only thing they plan for in 2019 is to watch Felicity grow up. The couple recently moved to California, which certainly took a lot of time. It's possible that things are too hectic for another pregnancy right now.
The couple could have another baby after settling in California
At present, the two have not discussed a timetable for a second
child. However, they may decide to have a second child after
things slow down and they adapt to life in California. Maybe 2020 will see a
new baby Vuolo, but for the moment, it seems that both are only focusing on their
daughter, Felicity. She just celebrated her first birthday on July 18 and the
couple had Vuolo
family in town to celebrate with them.
