Indigenous people in the newly created North-West region have used President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for ridiculing them after the region's mbadive support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 elections.

According to the natives, the NPP government is only interested in their votes and nothing else.

The chairman of Chirano's traditional council, Okogyeman Kwaku Gyamprah II, who rallies his subjects, expressed his regret at the turn of events and deplored the negligence and disrespect for the region's hard-working sons and daughters when nominating sector ministers, directors general and directors among others.

The government, he said, failed or perhaps flagrantly refused to give the region a minister, deputy minister or even chief executive officer, despite the overburdened ministerial portfolios.

Okogyeman Kwaku Gyamprah II made these bitter complaints in a speech he delivered while visiting former President John Dramani Mahama at the Traditional Council as part of his tour in the region.

The North West residents, he said, can only feed their regrets for voting for the nuclear power plant project, but said that they were patiently waiting for 2020 to correct the situation. fault.

The chiefs and the population, he said, have learned a lot from the treatment that has been reserved for them by the government and will also advise in the next elections because this time, it will be possible to compare the performance of the NDC over four years. and the NPP. .

Justice and equity, he said, demand a regional balance in the appointment of officials and the distribution of events and urged Mr. Mahama to take this into account when he took office in 2021.

He said chiefs and residents of the region were taken aback when the only general manager in the region, Alfred Obeng Boateng, was dismissed as BOST's chief executive.

This, he said, was a very strange development, especially when all the people who were laundered as a result of investigations conducted under the government in power are all in office.

"The Vice Minister of Sports, Mr. Pius Enam Hadzede, was called and rebadigned to the Ministry of Information after being authorized. The Director General of the Ghana Maritime Authority, Mr. Kwame Owusu, had recently been rebadigned to the Ghana Tax Authority (GRA) after being cleared. "

The persons named below were charged with corruption but did not lose their jobs on the basis of allegations.

"Mr. Ken Ofori-Attah (Minister of Finance), Samuel Abu Jinapor (Deputy Chief of Staff), Asensu Boakye (Deputy Chief of Staff) and Frances Essiam (Ghana Roll Cylinder).

"But our son, although he was also sanctioned by the BNI and national security through similar investigations, he alone is still not reinstated"

He claimed that the people of the region were not wrong to question the basis of injustice and inequitable treatment inflicted on them and stressed: "Is it because the government in power consider Sefwi as a minority group? "

"Let me remind the government the following proverb:" The game will collapse when the fool becomes wise. "

Okogyeman Kwaku Gyamprah III congratulated former President Mahama for the mbadive provision and distribution of infrastructure across the country during his regime.

He asked the flag-bearer of the NDC to be sure he would not refuse the North West their fair share of the national cake once elected to power in 2020.
