Note: This article contains the full results of the matches of WWE Monday Night Raw Meeting at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, aired July 22nd.
With WWE Extreme Rules 2019 long gone and SummerSlam 2019 in just a few weeks, we are getting closer and closer to the full – fledged era of Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff of WWETV.
But above all, we have a little detour. It is the hour of the raw meeting.
Read on to discover six things we learned at an evening of old school Raw entertainment.
1. John Cena is now a full-fledged WWE legend
In the last five years, John Cena's transformation has been completed.
Only a few years ago, he was the most controversial figure in the WWE, dividing the crowds in the center ("Let's go Cena" / "CENA SUCKS!") As he took his place at the top of the map night after night. .
After what seemed like an eternity at the top, he moved away little by little.
He has been run as the most popular WWE champion in the United States for years, perhaps forever, with his US Open Challenge.
He then became a good part-time employee, still struggling, but only performing on special occasions such as WrestleMania, sometimes to replace young talents such as uh … * checks the notes * of The Undertaker.
And there were also nostalgic pops that did not struggle, such as his unilateral destruction of Elias rap in the role of Doctor of Thuganomics at WrestleMania 35 and the more balanced confrontation of the night with the Usos.
For its part, the WWE universe now adores the legend that is John Cena. Even the most advanced people in the CENA SUCKS range came to understand how good he was.
With Hollywood as his new job of the day, John Cena will probably never regain full-time status in the WWE.
But he still has it and we would definitely wish for a last race in the ring, and even a race that beats Ric Flair with the WWE Universal Championship as well.
2. Kelly Kelly became the first female WWE 24/7 champion to have a perfect night for the title.
Raw Reunion was the perfect night for the WWE 24/7 championship.
A variety of legends, Hall of Famers and former players returning with the green and gold watch bracelet on the line meant that the new WWE title would still attract a lot of attention.
And it was the same with the title that changed NINE TIMES tonight, getting her first female champion and more.
To summarize quickly:
Drake Maverick beat R-Truth, beaten by Pat Patterson, defeated by Gerald Brisco, defeated by Kelly Kelly, beaten by Candice Michelle, beaten by Alundra Blayze, who sold the belt to Ted DiBiase, who was defeated by Drake Maverick, who was beaten by R-Truth.
The WWE story was unanimous, with Blayze threatening to throw away the belt and Ted DiBiase's unsuccessful attempt to buy the WWF title from Andrew the Giant in 1988.
Although towards the end of the night, we finished as expected, with R-Truth and Drake Maverick fighting for the title and R-Truth (a TEN-TIME champion) finishing first.
Always the best WWE title at the moment.
3. AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are now CO (but what will Finn Bálor think about this?)
We ran in the sun, looking for number one, California is coming to us ..
Ok, now we've got this out of our system. The club has always been a clumsy name for AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.
A nod to their Bullet Club group in New Japan, the WWE would never give them that title, even if it could.
And anyway, British Columbia still exists and still belongs to New Japan. Jay White is the current and fifth leader of the stable.
Styles, Gallows and Anderson do not completely abandon the property and are now called The Original Club, aka The OC.
There are some new products, a lot of bragging (despite the badaulting flight of DX, Kliq and Seth Rollins last night), and a burning question:
What does Finn Bálor think, says Prince Devitt, that AJ Styles is called Original, while it was Finn who founded the Bullet Club in 2013?
4. Roman Reigns slowly goes up the map
Before Roman Reigns moved away from the WWE to defeat leukemia again, he was stuck at the top of the map.
John Cena of his time, he divided the audience in the middle, his exasperating dominance as much as she captivated, if not more.
But since his return, he has stayed away from the biggest battles.
He argues with Drew McIntyre, Elias and Shane McMahon, and leaves the title quest to others for the moment.
Although there was nothing special last night, it was still a turning point for the Big Dog.
Reigns beat Samoa Joe in a hideous battle and pointed out that he was absolutely back and ready to win gold.
Joe is a recent WWE Champion in the United States. Although he did not manage to win the title, he recently defeated the WWE title.
Reigns having defeated Joe, he surely proved that he was back in the title image.
5. Becky Lynch vs Natalya just become serious
When Natalya won for the first round of Becky Lynch's WWE Women's Championship, we did not know how she would prepare.
A war of words at Raw last week implied that it would not be a respectful battle between two ring generals, and the altercation of last night on A Moment of Bliss made sure of it.
Bex and Nattie recalled their days in Japan and their more recent story, when Lynch took the belt of Nattie's best friend, Ronda Rousey, at WrestleMania, when everything broke out.
The two men were to be separated by officials, while the WWE universe was screaming for both wrestlers to take on them.
Which is a very good place to be a few weeks away from a title match at SummerSlam, if you think about it.
6. "Stone Cold & # 39; Steve Austin is still the biggest nostalgic pop of the WWE
Raw Reunion had more return Superstars than we even have the time or space to mention.
From John Cena and Rikishi to Mick Foley (who suffered an attack from Bray Wyatt / The Fiend), Sgt Slaughter, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan (Yawn), The Boogeyman, Nicholas, etc., etc.
But in the end, that's Steve Austin, a member of the Hall of Fame "Stone Cold," who closed the show and stole the night.
Rather than giving surprises to everyone, he instead delivered an emotional speech thanking everyone who makes Monday Night Raw what he's up to every week.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin retired from the ring more than 15 years ago after defeating The Rock at WrestleMania XIX.
And it shows the warmth of his race (and his rare ability to stay retired), as he is one of the few superstars to be able to really lift the roof nights like this.
Is it possible to have someone as "Stone Cold" as Steve Austin was in the WWE era of today? Here for the future and discover.
