Accra, July 23, GNA – Forever True Friends, a
non-governmental organization (NGO), called for public support to help
renovate the Pantang Hospital in Accra.
The NGO has set aside 1.5 billion euros
millions of dollars to build a theater for the Hospital, equipped with
State-of-the-art facilities and undertake renovations and follow-up
services.
The hospital, which is now a general establishment
hospital, lacks a theater center, prompting the authorities to transfer all
surgeries at other hospitals, which is a concern for all.

Speaking at the launch of the project called "Pantang hospital"
Theater "in Accra, said that the initiative was to raise awareness of the
the challenges facing the hospital and advocating for public support.
She said that the organization had launched the idea
due to the deplorable state of the hospital, including rooms reserved for inmates
and their well-being, which required urgent attention.
Statistics of the Ghana Health Service
showed that in 2018, 41% of Ghanaians suffer from mental disorders.
Mental health facilities are
neglected and leads to a situation where the pay gap for inmates is 98%

building a theater center for the hospital and then extending the
support for other urgent needs in health services.

contribute to the initiative to improve the delivery of health care in the
