Health infrastructure and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) facilities have increased significantly over the last three years in the Nabdam district, in the Far East region. .

In an interview with the media about the results of the interventions, Ms. Meri Seidu, director of health services of the district, said that for the first time in its history, the district was receiving a large intervention in the field of health.

She said that by 2017, the district could only use six CHIP compounds, which was a big challenge for the period given the large population of the region.

Ms. Seidu said health facilities at community gates would help speed up the achievement of universal health coverage and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially the third goal.
