Boris Johnson was elected as the new Conservative leader and will become the next Prime Minister after defeating Jeremy Hunt and garnering 66% of the vote. In his victory speech, the former mayor of London said that he would bring a new spirit "capable of doing" to the country. He will not officially take up his duties until Wednesday afternoon, after Theresa May's final questions.
