HDB to explore cooler homes, 3D printing for future apartments

[ad_1]

HDB blocks could become colder in the future and 3D printing could be used to build them. HDB is working with industrial giant Evonik to see how to use an insulating material called Calostat on the secondary roof panel of apartments. The goal is to reduce the ambient temperature by 2 ° C. This is just one of the ways in which the government works with the private sector in research and development to find solutions to urban challenges. Nearly 70 million dollars will be injected over the next two years to address issues such as climate change and sustainability.
