Adobe has released a new version of Flash Player for Mac in the wild. Called "Square," this latest release provides native support on 64-bit OS X, which, according to Adobe, will result in a substantial acceleration of speed for recent Mac users.
On our side, we did not see much improvement, except for a marginal (and perhaps imaginary) performance gain under 64-bit Safari. It always seems to use as much system resources as before.
Do some of our readers know varying distances with Adobe Flash Square? Let us know in the comments: we continue to ask Adobe to prove that Steve Jobs is wrong, but it remains a slow and unacceptable system.
