The former Vice Chancellor, Professor Mawutoe Avoke
The presence of armed security on the campus of the University of Education, Winneba, follows an aborted press conference by former Vice Chancellor Professor Mawutoe Avoke on Tuesday afternoon.
Graphic Online's reporter at Winneba, Gilbert Mawuli, reported that Professor Avoke, along with other dismissed university staff members, entered the campus and boardroom to try and pronounce a press conference.
He reported that security agents reacted and disrupted the planned press conference, some details of which are yet to be known.
