The king of the industrial city, Mr. Nii Adjei Kraku ll, declared that the people claiming that the director general of the municipality of Ashaiman, Mr. Albert Okyere, sabotaged the program "1 district, 1 factory" of the president Akufo Addo were forgers.

As a result, he advised President Akufo-Addo to ignore those alleging that a plot for a 1d1f project had been sold by the MCE.

"I watched the news on TV and was shocked by the fact that people have such a propensity to make such unfounded claims that the MCE is selling land reserved for a district, factory; How can the MCE sell land when I, the king, am here? Nii Tema wondered.

He added that the land in question was in the custody of the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) and Tema's traditional council and that it could never have been sold by the MCE to a private developer, such as this is alleged.

"If the land has been transferred to a private developer, then it is certainly the CDT that ceded it and not the MCE. Why would anyone ask for the MCE's head? Tema Mantse asked.

The allegation has only recently emerged on television.
Allegedly, land belonging to a plant project of less than 1d1f has been transferred by MCE to a private developer.

However, the MCE has no jurisdiction over the lands in question, as this parcel is in the custody of the CCT and TTC, the only authorities that may choose to badign it to a private developer or not.

Despite the facts on the ground, ERM accusers claimed that Albert Okyere deliberately sabotaged the 1d1f project in Ashaiman, an allegation that could easily lead to the latter's disaffection.

"I will advise the President, as King of Tema – he should please ignore the allegations because it contains no iota of truth. No one in Tema can sell land without knowing it.

"And as for those who create evil in Ashaiman, I want to warn them that there are elders in this city and that not everyone likes political evil. If the MCE sabotaged any attempt to deprive Ashaiman of a factory, I would be the first to report it to the president, "Nii Tema said.
