Kukuom police in the southern district of Asunafo in the Ahafo region arrested three people without human parts in Abuom near Sankore.

Kukuom District Police Commander DSP Lawrence Adomberi, who confirmed this information to Citi News, said the suspects had exhumed a burial of women from Aboum's Presbyterian cemetery.

"Yes, the case is the one at 11 pm [on Sunday], we had information that two people were found with a box containing human parts. So they were arrested and sent to the Abuom police station, but people rushed to lynch them. I therefore asked the police to settle and rescue them so that they would be rescued and sent to the Kukuom Police Station.

He added that a meeting had been organized Monday with the one who had sent them to retrieve the body parts.

"He has also been arrested and the three of them are now on remand," added the DSP Lawrence Adomberi.

"According to my information, the body parts were exhumed at the Abuom Presbyterian cemetery and, for the time being, we are told that they are ritualists."

DSP Lawrence Adomberi said the suspects would be brought to court Tuesday for the track.
