Ghanaian winger Solomon Asante was named in the USL Week 20 team, but he missed the player of the week title.
Phoenix captain Rising FC scored two goals and provided a pbad in the 6-0 win against Austin Bold FC on Saturday night.
But he missed the league player of the week against Bethlehem Steel FC goalkeeper Tomas Romero.
Romero scored 11 goals in the 1-0 win against Louisville City FC in Steel FC's win, beating the league record for the largest number of saves in the entire circuit.
He received 67% of the survey conducted by a national panel of independent media representing all markets of the USL Championship.
Asante finished second with 19%.
