ARSENAL lost a 2-0 lead against Real Madrid after losing their pre-season friendly on penalties.
Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were the scorers of the Gunners, who regained control at halftime.
But after the introduction of Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio, Arsenal watched everything at sea.
This pair scored twice in three minutes to defend themselves and force shots on goal.
Bale missed, but Granit Xhaka, Nacho Monreal and Robbie Burton did the same, as Zinedine Zidane's men won.
So how did the Arsenal players behave?
It was definitely a game of two halves …
Emiliano Martinez – 6
COMMANDER in the first period and confident coming out of his sideline, but too easily dismissed the ball for Bale's goal and will be disappointed to be beaten in his place by Asensio. Push Leno to the starting place. Saved two penalty shots on goal, but that was not enough.
Carl Jenkinson – 7
Entered at the last minute to replace Maitland-Niles, he was allowed to wander when Arsenal had the advantage of a man and had repeatedly popped up to offer juicy crosses. Shined with Marcelo in the second half, but was well defended. Positive signs.
Rooms Calum – 6
PICKED in front of Mustafi and was solid in the first half, but guilty of falling too deep in the second when Bale, Isco and Asensio went wild. Make some good blocks and was not afraid to put his body on the line.
Sokratis – 4
LOOKED fairly comfortably and had treated Benzema well until two clumsy challenges give the referee a chance to even things out. The first was a light yellow card, leading Kroos, but the Greek will feel bad after receiving a second warning two minutes later for a meeting with Modric. Throwing the ball into the stands of frustration did not serve him.
Sead Kolasinac – 5
GIVEN to Nacho a tortuous opening of ten minutes, crushing the back of Madrid twice and forcing a reservation. He fainted as the first half went on and had a second nightmare, scoring almost the goal of the comedy with a bad pbad behind the chest. Fought with the rhythm and cunning of Vinicius when the youngster was introduced.
Joe Willock – 7
Gave a chance on the big stage to impress and sought to make an early impact, scoring the palms of Navas after a rising midfield run. Tireless who ran and got box to box, bad luck to be subverted at half time as Emery had to introduce another defender after losing Sokratis.
Granite Xhaka – 5
CARELESS, with his departure and talented possession, was beaten several times in a first period dominated by Arsenal. Lucas Torreira is short of breath to start and failed to leave his mark? Exhausted in the 90th minute after being manhandled by Isco in the second half. Horrible penalty in the shooting.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan – 5
ONLY one quality moment on a calm night, meshing a deep ball in Aubameyang that could have allowed Madrid to come back after their two goals scored in slow motion. Too often, the game seems to drift without him.
Mesut Ozil – 6
PICKED on nice pbades and tied well to Willock as an infiltrator in the first period while Arsenal nearly took two goals in advance, also getting close to a quick free kick. But as his defense fell more and more, his influence on the game went away with it. Happy not to have a soft spot for her discolored hair.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 7
VIVEMENT from the beginning and formed a real double act with Lacazette. He took his goal well by dropping the shoulder and rounding Navas before pulling forcefully on the net's roof. Calmer after the break, but Arsenal fans should have no worries about the strike force of their forwards for the new season.
Alexandre Lacazette – 7
Denied, Nacho scored a goal and was close to the goal with certainty, but his chance was to equalize with the shots on goal before sneaking. Known brilliantly with Aubameyang, seconding the second with a great rear-heel.
SUBS: Nacho Monreal – 6
REPLACED Willock and could not stop Madrid from spilling after the break. I had a good head saved with 20 minutes, but I could not hold Bale.
Eddie Nketiah – 7
TWO brilliant chances to win in the last seconds but thwarted by Courtois head-to-head, before not looking at the head of the head inside the penalty area. Fast, lively and seems to be chic to be in the right place at the right time. Good talent and probably should have won.
Robbie Burton – 6
LOOKED energetic and prevented Isco from shooting into a late winner with a well-timed tackle on the edge of the box. Entrusted with the fifth and decisive penalty, but crushed on the bar.
Reiss Nelson – 6
ARSENAL fought back late and used Nelson as a stepping stone, but was unable to get out of Courtois. Decent penalty in the shootout and raised his hand for the first kick.
Bukayo Saka – 6
CAME stayed in Ozil's spot and got stuck, also defying his years to confidently inflict a terrible penalty in the top corner.
