Asiamah5 Minister of Sports, Isaac Asiamah

Ghana's Minister of Sport, Isaac Asiamah, is in Parliament to brief them on the CAN 2019 budget and to answer questions about the Black Stars' catastrophic departure during the tournament.

The four winners hoping to win their fifth trophy were trapped on Monday after Tunisia's 4-5 penalty shoot-out after playing a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

This is the first time the team has left the tournament without reaching the semi-finals since being eliminated in the group stage of the 2006 tournament also held in Egypt.

In the run-up to CAN 2019, the sports minister refused to release the budget, which provoked speculation in the country.

He will now make the information available to Parliament today as well as other issues such as the air transport of supporters.

"The minister is coming to make a statement about the CAN tournament, after which he will be questioned," Ras Mubarak, a member of Parliament, told Atinka FM.
