The transfer of Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona could be canceled by La Liga

Antoine Griezmann is faced with the unusual prospect of his pbading in Barcelona canceled, according to La Liga President Javier Tebas.

Barcelona sealed Griezmann's signing of Atletico Madrid after a long saga of transfers between clubs.

The $ 107 million release clause of Griezmann was activated by Barcelona on July 12, after a fall of 178 million pounds on 1 July.

Atletico, however, has now lodged a complaint with La Liga alleging that the Barcelona Agreement with Griezmann was in place before its release clause came into force.

As a result, Atletico claims they owe more money and the La Liga boss, Tebas, explained that Griezmann's decision could be overturned.

"It's possible to block the transfer of a player," Tebas told Onda Cero.

"La Liga will have to decide what course of action to take."

Last summer, Atletico complained to La Liga about Barcelona's attempts to sign Griezmann, which the Frenchman finally rejected.

Griezmann has already played for Barcelona, ​​with a 2-1 defeat against Chelsea in a pre-season match.

Atletico says Barcelona reopened talks with Griezmann in March.

"There is a process that has been put in place and those who supervise it will have to come to resolve the case."
