According to Professor Avoke, his decision followed the authorization of the Bureau of the fight against organized and economic crime (EOCO) after he was charged with abusing his office.

But the Minister of Education does not agree with such conduct.
"You can go to court and challenge the process, even if you win, it must be executed by lawful means because we are not in a state without laws," said Dr. Opoku Prempeh.
