Jurgen Klopp dismissed rumors that Liverpool could offer Gareth Bale a Real Madrid escape this summer.

Despite winning four Champions League titles at Real Madrid, Welsh international Wale has not been able to overtake his former manager Zinedine Zidane.

The legendary French admitted Sunday that he wanted to sell Basel and Paul Ince then suggested that the 30-year-old could move to Liverpool.

Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports, said, "I do not know why these fantastic footballers have such strange ideas.

"What can I say, I respect them all a lot, especially as a player and a player. They only say these things because people ask them questions.

"Bale is a player from Real Madrid, where he leaves, he will be incredibly expensive, with high salaries. We can not solve the problems of other clubs.

"He's an exceptional player, I really like him, he won the Champions League final. [in 2018 against Liverpool] almost alone when he came out of the bench.

"But it's not just for him. You must create a team. A team is not a set of individuals, we are not targeting these simple players and hope they will solve the future for us. "

Bale, who left Tottenham for Real Madrid in 2013, lost Bernabeu's favor in Zidane's first stint as manager.

Explaining why the striker was not retained during the friendly between Real and Bayern Munich this weekend, Zidane said: "We hope he will leave soon. It would be better for everyone.

"We are working on his transfer to a new team. I do not have anything personal against him, but there comes a time when things are done because they have to be done. "

Ince, a former Liverpool star, Manchester United and England, had then suggested to Bale to move to Anfield to revive his career.

"For me, if Liverpool could afford it, he should go to Liverpool," he said.

"If you look at the top three, they played all summer, so how much rest time will they have before the start of the season?

'Bale can play on the right, he can play on the left and he can play in the middle. They have Origi and Shaqiri but are they good enough?

"It can not be a question of money for Basel, he has to go to a team capable of winning things – the champions of Europe, the team that finished second in the Premier League. "
