Former director of communications of the presidency, under the Mills administration, Koku Anyidoho described the late president, Professor JEA Mills, as one of the most intelligent men he's ever encountered and whose genius could be compared to that of great philosophers such as Socrates, Aristotle and Plato.

According to him, the late Professor Mills, a lawyer, would have had the merit of introducing a number of policies and initiatives, while serving as vice-president under the presidency of JJ Rawlings, including the tax on value added (VAT) and the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).

He noted that President Mills, who was the late President, had introduced the subject of tax law taught at the Faculty of Law of Ghana and was the first speaker on the subject in 1972.

Koku Anyidoho, founder of the Atta Mills Foundation, made the remark in an interview with Akwasi Nsiah, host of the sit-in, Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM, July 24, marking the seventh anniversary of the death of the Former president.

Mr. Anyidoho added that the late President Mills was a genius whose story is solid, adding that the Atta Mills Institute will tell this story.

"Prof. Mills was a good man, endowed with a good heart and a genius.He was very brilliant.You can compare President Mills to Aristotle, Plato, Socrates and others.He was really a genius and I, Koku Anyidoho, will no longer cry, protect and spread the legacy of John Evans Atta Mills.I say that since his death we have never seen the sun on July 24, seven years after his death, as we see it today because God is perfecting His inheritance. "

The late Professor JEA Mills was the third president of Ghana under the Fourth Republic. He died on July 24, 2012 at 37th Accra Military Hospital three days after his 68th birthday.

Although the cause of death was not immediately revealed, he was suffering from throat cancer and had recently returned to the United States for medical reasons. Announcing his death, his office said that he had died hours later, but a presidential aide said that he had complained of pain the day before his death.

However, Mills' brother, Dr. Cadman Mills, later revealed during the ceremony at the cemetery that he had died from a mbadive hemorrhagic stroke resulting from a cerebral aneurysm .
