Everton's defender, Yerry Mina, has been charged with misbehavior by the Football Association (FA) for breach of the betting regulations.
The former Barcelona defender, Mina, appeared in an advertisement for a Parisian betting company, his home country, earlier this year.
As this is contrary to the FA's regulations, the governing body has charged the 24-year-old, who has until July 26 to respond.
"Yerry Mina has been accused of misconduct with regard to FA betting rules," FA said.
"It is alleged that the defender violated FA rule E8 [3] by participating in an advertisement of betting activity in which he is prohibited from participating. "
Mina joined Everton from Barca for a £ 30 million contract in August 2018 after impressing Colombia at the World Cup.
However, his first season at Goodison Park was injured, limiting the central return to 15 appearances in all competitions.
