Divock Origi insists that he had the "hunch" that Liverpool would achieve something special last season.
Origi could have joined the Wolves in January, but would remain and play a vital role in the success of the Champions League in Liverpool.
He admits he refused the opportunity to leave Liverpool – which turned out to be an inspired decision.
"It was an instinctive feeling," said Origi, who scored the 2-2 draw in Liverpool against Sporting Lisbon in New York on Thursday morning, after also scoring against Sevilla on Sunday.
"For me, I just sat down and I wanted to stay and help this team.

"I felt good, I had to continue to perform at training and I knew my luck would come. I felt we could do something special.
"I had to block everything on the outside and focus on the good things.
"In football, you never know 100%, it could have gone otherwise, but that's the choice I've made."

The £ 10m Lille selection spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Wolfsburg and scored just seven goals.
He returned to Merseyside last summer and was left out of Klopp's plans.
Origi was not in the Premier League until he left the bench against Everton on Dec. 2 – and Jordan Pickford's blunder earned him a bizarre winner.
He then caught a late winner against Newcastle to keep the Reds on the same score as Manchester City in the Premier League race.

And with Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah injured for the return leg against Barcelona in the return leg of the Champions League semifinal, Origi had to step up.
His doubling allowed the Reds to reduce their deficit by 3-0 to seal their place in Madrid.
He then crowned his sensational second half of the season with the second goal of the 2-0 win over Tottenham.
A new contract followed that he signed earlier this month.

"It definitely changed the direction of my career, it was a great experience," said Origi.
"Winning the Champions League is a dream for a boy, so it changes a lot in a player's career.
"Again, I focus on the good things and that happens on the ground.
"I know everything else comes from that. I'm trying to be as fit as possible and just perform. After my career, I will enjoy it to the fullest. "

Now, the next challenge for Origi is to get more playing time. His decision to sign a new long-term agreement indicates that he is confident he can do it.
Klopp will not sign any big name this summer, which will be beneficial in the first three places of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mane.
He added, "Am I back to my best? I am not the person who will make statements, I just try to show on the ground what I feel.
"There could be hard times in the future, as there could be good times, I'm just getting ready for the best."
