The Office of Pilgrimage Affairs of Ghana (PAOG), in collaboration with the Hajj Agents Association, has set the price of the Hajj pilgrimage pilgrimage at 19,500 GH ¢, the equivalent of $ 3,500.

The tariff represents an increase of 23% (4,500 ¢ GH) compared to the rate of last year, which was 15,000 GH ¢.

PAOG, however, indicated that the new rate could have been higher without the government's intervention to make it affordable for more people to perform the pilgrimage.

He had allocated 6,000 seats for this year's pilgrimage.

In addition, the National Media Commission (CNG) dismissed certain aspects of Manbadeh Azure Awuni's documentary "The militia at the heart of the nation" from the Multimedia group, which he described as a misrepresentation of the facts.

Although the NMC stated that D-Eye operations at Christiansborg Castle were "problematic and unacceptable", the Commission noted in its decision that "The group did not show any violent behavior that could be described as a militia or self-defense group after the documentary, because the Ghanaian people have come to identify these groups."

After months of hearings, the Commission, chaired by Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh, said in his decision that "The attempt to expose the fact that the group operated from the castle was in the public interest".
