Apple started yesterday with the deployment of iOS 12.4. We have summarized the most important things for you. […]
Admittedly, the deployment, respectively iOS version 12.4, is not as spectacular. No big change or even a redesign of the graphical interface. But it is worth mentioning an innovation (with various bugfixes): a native solution to transfer data from old iPhone to new iPhones – locally, without cloud. This solution, inspired by the PhoneClone application, works either via WLAN, both devices must logically be integrated in the same network, or old enough via a cable connection. This should ease the transition to newer devices for cloud skeptics.
In addition, the walkie-talkie feature of the Apple Watch has been reactivated, it was disabled for security reasons some time ago. Last but not least, the Apple News Plus app preinstalled and Apple's credit card support enabled (the latter only in the US).
Devices that no longer support iOS 12 have also been taken into account: the iPad 2, 3 and mini as well as the iPhone 4 should benefit from the update to iOS 9.3.6, iOS 10.3 .4 will appear on the iPad 4 and the iPhone 5. The update includes security patches and bug fixes.
