Two Premier League footballers were involved in an attempted robbery by an armed gang on a London street.
Arsenal players, Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac, were shot at, confirmed the club, but they both escaped the injury.
A sequence on social media seems to show that Kolasinac is pursuing thieves at Platts Lane, near Golders Green, around 5:00 pm Paris time.
Arsenal said in a statement: "We have been in contact with both players and they are fine."
In a video that circulated on social media, defender Kolasinac confronts two men who brandish knives.
One can see the player jumping from a vehicle to confront the masked men who shot next to the car with the help of mopeds.
In the video, we saw that both cars were armed and were filmed brandishing knives in Kolasinac, 26 years old.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "It has been reported that motorcycle suspects tried to rob a man who was driving a car.
"The driver and his pbadenger were able to get out safely and went to a restaurant in Golders Green, where agents talked to them."
There has been no arrest so far.
Kolasinac and midfielder Ozil are not the first footballers to be targeted on London roads.
In 2016, Andy Carroll, the West Ham striker, had been threatened with a gun while he was returning home after his training.
