The dominant center back will not be part of the Porcupine Warriors CAF Champions League campaign because of an injury, Kickgh.com reports exclusively.
Asante Kotoko was hit hard while Ismail Abdul Ganiyu was banned from his campaign in the CAF Champions League after suffering a knee injury.
The 22-year-old was injured in the knee during the club's training session at Adako Jachie's training compound last week.
Kickgh.com understands that the former Wa All Stars goalkeeper will leave the Ghanaian coast in the coming days for surgery.
He joined Richard Senanu and Maxwell Baakoh in the Kumasi-based treatment room.
He has established himself as one of Asante Kotoko's key artists since arriving at Karela United last year.
Kotoko will start his campaign in the CAF Champions League with Nigerian Kano Pillars on August 10th.
He played a key role in the special competition of the GFA standardization committee to help Kotoko win rank 1 after defeating Karela United in the final.
Ganiyu participated in all of Asante Kotoko's matches during the CAF Confederation Cup campaign last season.
