Mom is facing a violent reaction because she complains that her baby is "ugly" – but insists that it was a joke

It's a widely held belief that all parents think their baby is the most beautiful on the planet.

Which makes a mother's comments about her newborn all the more disconcerting – although she's insisted that she's joking.

Quaylaa Ann, from California, was angered by other parents after filming her son while her twin sister slept.

She tells how the heat brought her three children to a local water park.

Everything then took an unexpected turn when she started talking about the "ugliness" of her son.

"My biggest fear was having an ugly baby, and now look what I had," she said.

"I knew that 50 out of 50 chances would be to see one of those kids get ugly … because of him," which seems to be a reference to the father of his children.

"One minute, he looks all good, the other minute he looks like Alien vs. Predator."

Halfway through the video, she then seems to have a change of heart and instead of saying that her son is "ugly", changes to say that it is rather "funny".

"I'm sorry your dad's branding you, you look like him," she says.

"It's cool anyway."

Quaylaa's comments could have been largely ignored, but Tia Becca, the star of Love and hip hop in Atlanta , posted and shared the video with his Instagram followers of 427K overnight, adding, "I think he's adorable."

The answer was largely critical.

"People do anything for tastes and laughter, it's not funny," commented one person.

Another added, "People like it should not happen again."

But Quaylaa also had her supporters, with one person writing: "OMG, it was a crazy joke, she loved her twins and her kids, she played clearly."

The mother of three later explained to her fans that she was messing around, saying:

"God knows my heart is pure, I love my children.There is no bad publicity."

Anyway, his little boy let everyone know he was thinking about it, making a beautiful vomit on his mother.
