The accident occurred on the Tema-Aflao highway
The death of four women has been confirmed. Ten other pbadengers were injured after their bus was involved in an accident around Koluedor, in the Ada West district of the Greater Accra region.
The accident occurred on the Tema-Aflao highway.
The bodies were deposited at the morgue of the Catholic Hospital of Bator, in the district of North Tongu, in the region of Volta.
However, injured pbadengers are being treated at the Ada East District Hospital at the time of filing this report.
Confirming the incident at DGN Online, Deputy Police Superintendent (DSP), George Aboagye, Sege District Police Commander, explained that the accident occurred on July 25, 2019 to 15 hours.
According to him, a Benz Sprinter van bearing the registration number GT 5939-19 was traveling from Tema towards Ada, while the Hyundai Tucson bearing the registration number GS 9588-18 was heading in the opposite direction.
Reaching a certain point between Koluedor and Mantsekope, DSP Aboagye mentioned that the Hyundai Tucson attempted to overtake a motorcycle in front of her, but to no avail, which caused a frontal collision with the oncoming truck.
