ARSENAL has reached an agreement on a sensational amount of £ 72 million for the Lille star Nicolas Pepe, according to reports reported.
The Gunners are in "advanced negotiations" with Ligue 1 in an ultimate attempt to divert the gesture of Napoli on behalf of the winger.
According to Fabrizio Romano of Sky Italia, Arsenal would have made a new offer in Lille and Pepe, 24 years old.
The cash-strapped gunners are willing to respect the badessment of the Ivorian group by the formation of Ligue 1, but they pay the fees in installments.
And they put a five-year contract on the table for the talented winger.
Napoli held positive talks with Pepe's camp yesterday with reports that the Italians even had an agreement with Lille.
But the giants of Serie A would have apparently failed to meet the financial requirements of Ivorian.
It is now thought that Arsenal is in command to sign Pepe with the gunners' leaders who are only waiting for the player's final decision.
However, Napoli does not intend to give up the feeling of Ligue 1, the discussions continuing between all parties.
Pepe scored 23 goals and collected 12 badists in 41 games for Lille last season.
His arrival would mark a wonderful week for the Gunners.
Arsenal unveiled Thursday its new players, Dani Ceballos and William Saliba.
Although they are also getting close to an agreement with Celtic on the transfer of Kieran Tierney.
