Inter and Juventus blocked in the "total war" as clubs fight to sign Romelu Lukaku

Inter are engaged in a "total war" with Juventus after the Bianconeri have approached Romelu Lukaku, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Fabio Paratici considered the possibility of moving to the Belgian several weeks ago, but on Thursday he met with Lukaku's agent, Federico Pastorello, and asked for more information.

Juventus can only sign the Lukaku if Manchester United agrees to take Paulo Dybala in an exchange, and for the moment, the clubs do not agree on the respective badessments of the players.

Inter are frustrated by the movements of the old lady, but they can not submit an improved offer to United before the sale of Mauro Icardi, Radja Nainggolan or Ivan Perisic.

Beppe Marotta and Antonio Conte remain confident about Lukaku because the player gave them his word a long time ago.

The two men are also studying alternative options and on Monday, they identified Edinson Cavani, from Paris Saint-Germain, as a Plan B.

Cavani turned 32 in February and is thus several years older than Lukaku, but Conté prefers him to another possibility of falling back on Rafael Leao, who seems ready to join Milan.

Edin Dzeko is a separate show and Marotta will try to resume talks with Roma on Monday, perhaps increasing the offer of Inter to 15 million euros, but the Giallorossi want Gonzalo Higuain to be replaced before let go the Bosnian.

Mauro Icardi remains the first choice of Juventus in attack but Lukaku seems to have become a credible alternative.

Juve may be trying to simply disturb Inter by moving to one of his targets, but only time will tell.
